It's important to be comfortable in your own skin in order to reach success. Some people find this out early on and others find out when its too late. You obviously don't want to be a fat guy buying a motorcycle in his 50s. Never a good look. A big part of being yourself is doing what you are good at aka staying in your lane. Adam Sandler shouldn't do dramas, DeAndre Jordan shouldn't run point and Justin Bieber shouldn't act tough.

Just be yourself and you will find success. Ken Giles this is the intervention you need. Giles has an ERA of 9.00 right now and is blowing saves like his job is to blow saves. You can't find a guy who throws 100 mph and looks more uncomfortable on the bump. Giles is still striking people out a ton. he's posting 16.20 K/9 but wayyyy back in 2014 his K/9 was 17.40. Giles was himself in 2014. Take a look at the difference.

Back in 2014 Giles was one of the best young relievers in baseball, he had 64 Ks in 45.2 IP. He barely walked anyone only allowing 11 of them and his whip game was strong 0.79. Giles didn't rely on gimmicks and was used in almost every high pressure situation the 2014 73 - 89 Phillies could find themselves in. He was poised to be the next best closer in baseball. Nowadays Giles is shook. He needs to cut his sad beard and stop acting like Rob Beck or Turk Wendall. You're not an eccentric and crazy closer. You're a kid from Albuquerque who throws straight gas.

Just be yourself Ken. You throw 100 mph, play for one of the best teams in the MLB and you could be the best closer in baseball. C'mon Ken, can you just get a couple 1-2-3 9th innings in a row? My balls need release.
