Hainger is actually playing awesome right now and Obi Wan Canobi is reaping the benefits. Hainger currently has 15 RBI which is two away from his total in 2016. Fun fact Hainger is tied with Story, JoeInnes Cespedes, Corey Seager (relax Kyle) and Schwarb (again relax Kyle) for the shortest home run of 2017 thus far at 427 ft. Hainger is straight mashing the ball. His SLG, which measures the number of total bases per at bat, is .569. If the season were to end today he would rank him in the 40's as far as best seasons go (Bonds hit .863 in 2001 which is one of the most amazing stats ever). The list of SLG leaders in MLB history is only occupied by those who mash such as Bonds, Babe, Jimmie Foxx, Bagwell, Larry Walker and Ted Williams. Is Hainger the second coming of Jimmie Foxx? No he's not. Sorry Obi Wan Canobi.

Prepared to be bored. Hainger was born in Santa Clara, CA and was a two sport star. He played football and did well then went to Cal Poly like every other good baseball player in CA. He played well got drafted by the Brewers. Got traded to the D'backs for Gerardo Rivera I mean Parra (I know its Geraldo).
Got traded to the Mariners with Jean Segura for Taijuan Walker. Hainger is 26 and 6-2. He is as boring as it gets but he is straight mashing the baseball. He was asked about his mindset whie playing baseball and he gave one of the most generic answers you will ever hear, “just try to do my job and be who I am, you know, just try to play good defense and hit the ball hard, swing at good pitches and put good at-bats together.” He apparently enjoys working out in his free time. After looking this stuff up and writing this I feel like I just wasted a lot of time that I will never get back. Anyway, you do you Mitch or should I say Bitch Hainger. Help Obi Wan Canobi reach the promise land.
